Configure your investment strategy: recurring investments, benchmarks, and automated rules

Set It and Forget It

The power of dollar-cost averaging (DCA) lies in automation. By setting up recurring investments and reactive rules, you remove emotion from investing and maintain discipline through market cycles. Define your strategy once, then let it execute automatically.

Recurring Investments

Set up automatic periodic purchases (DCA)

What are Recurring Investments?

Recurring investments allow you to automatically invest a fixed dollar amount on a regular schedule. This is also known as dollar-cost averaging (DCA).

Key Benefits:

  • Remove emotion from investing - automatic execution
  • Buy more shares when prices are low, fewer when high
  • Build wealth consistently over time
  • Partial shares enabled - invest any dollar amount

Note on Execution

DCA rules are currently stored and configured, but automated execution is not yet implemented. This feature will automatically purchase shares based on your configured schedule and momentum conditions.

Reactive Rules (Automated Buying)

Create condition-based automatic purchases

Reactive rules allow you to automatically buy (or sell) when certain market conditions are met. This helps you take advantage of opportunities without constant monitoring.

Example Rules:

  • Buy $20 worth of SPY on 5% drop (once per day)
  • Buy $50 worth of VGT when RSI < 30
  • Buy $100 worth of AAPL on positive earnings surprise
